High School Credits

The Arctic Youth Leadership, in collaboration with the Beaufort Delta Education Council and the Government of the Northwest Territories Education, Culture and Employment Department, have created a locally developed course where high school credits are generated for participants of the AYL program. Participants successfully completing the program will be eligible to receive four (4) high school credits while on this program.

Each credit represents 25 hours of instruction, with 100 hours of instruction in four areas of study. Receiving the credits can be a significant bonus for students who often do very well in the experiential and participatory format of the AYL program. The credits are grouped under the name "IDC Youth Leadership Expedition".
