Inuit Students Selected for 2010 AYL

The Inuit students from across Nunavut have been selected for the 2010 Arctic Youth Leadership program.  These students will fly to Inuvik and then participate on this years’ leadership training program on the Horton River.  The leadership training, white water canoeing, and outdoor education will be once again instructed by the National Outdoor Leadership School, with one of the instructors returning from last year.

 

With the generous support of all of our sponsors, who have helped us provide this unique leadership opportunity for the Inuit youth of Nunavut, we look forward to the developing success for the students of this year.

 

Inuit Students Selected for 2010 Arctic Youth Leadership Program

1.       David Kullualik – Iqaluit, 17 years old

2.       Timothy Akoomalik – Pond Inlet, 17 years old

3.       Martha Arnarauyak – Rankin Inlet, 15 years old

4.       Caine Akulukjuk – Pangnirtung, 19 years old

5.       Tera Yarema of Rankin Inlet, 16 years old

6.       Swen Ugyuk – Taloyoak, 17 years old – Alumni 2^nd year, as Expedition Intern
